I still love you.

I think it has to do with the fact that…standing there with flowers and perhaps a box of chocolates is a display of young love.  It can easily look cheesy.  But, when you’re at an old age, there is something very tender and fragile about the whole scene.  Kind of like saying, I still love you.  I am waiting for you with flowers and chocolates.  Will you love me back?

The old age strips away pretence and arrogance.

Hope, vulnerability, and persevering love.  This so precious.
